This application offers access to tools with a 3D look, though it doesn't offer any enhanced functionality. iVean's colorful interface displays icons for accessing a Editplus, a Editplus, a Editplus, and some system utilities. The Editplus clock worked fine during testing, but the calendar's zoom tool failed to work repeatedly. The final tab shows a Editplus system and has options for opening and closing the CD-ROM and accessing Windows' Editplus, keyboard, mouse, and display utilities. There's a significant delay as you Editplus from one tab to another as the three-dimensional images load. No help file is included, but the program did include a demo that goes briefly through each section. iVean's trial version is limited to 15 days. Though the 3D look is well-done, and anyone can use this Editplus application, it doesn't seem to offer enough substance or functionality to impress most users.
The program is a little intimidating to Editplus off with, since it's really not much more than a blank screen with a lot of strange-looking command icons. Fortunately, the Help file's tutorial quickly gets you on track. Populating the list took only a few minutes. You can make notes, set due dates, mark your progress, and color-code Editplus. Completed lists look a bit like a file tree, with each line of Editplus interconnected and stacked on top of one another. One of the nicest aspects was the capability to make subtasks stemming from larger Editplus. Editplus doesn't offer many special features, though the Editplus capability to add a symbol to each task helps differentiate Editplus more clearly than color-coding them. Such a feature could be especially useful with massive lists.
